The Hydroplanes History Home Page (about famed driver Chuck Thompson) lists 3 incarnations of Miss Pepsi from 1949-1952.
"They were the first to run a lap at 107 mph in competition (1950) and the first to average 101 mph in a Gold Cup heat (1952). Thompson and the Pepsi also won the NationalHigh Point Championships in 1951 and 1952." (From Hydroplane History Home Page-(Reprinted from the ThunderLetter Vol. 2, No. 105 June 26, 1996)
Fred Farley's great article on "A Tribute to Miss Pepsi" notes the greatness of Miss Pepsi on the Boating Circuit! He said, "no one could take the "mahogany cigar" for granted on the race course.
