The wonderful venue of the Detroit Zoological Park was crowded on April 30th, 2016 with the supporters of the Shades of Pink Foundation Cancer Charity! The Charity gives money to help the Cancer Victim and their Family with ancillary costs of he disease.
Unlike the new Penguin House with alot of room for the cute rascals, the main tent where the speeches were heard and around the start was packed! But this was all good as its for a great cause!
The walk was begun by registering and getting a free pass to the new PENGUIN HOUSE. The huge events tent was next with speeches and introductions to big contributors and corporations. The teams that made the most for the charity were also honored.

The place is huge with alot more swimming space for their natural behaviors...and the Zoo loves that!

They have a cool 3D ship ride on an exploration ship- real spray from the stormy sea (you feel mist!). It seems like your above decks on the ship in this stormy sea.
The 2 "under the water show parts" of the swimming habitat of the Penguins are neat. It's acrylic and It's amazing! The Penguins swim right over you!
There are alot of history as displays and information on Penguins throughout the Center. It's new, clean, has no odor like the Old Penguin House
