Fun day yesterday at Fifth Third Field in Toledo, Ohio the home of the Toledo Mud Hens. Why is The Gadfly Investigations Newspaper reporting on an Ohio team? Well, the Toledo Mud Hens are the AAA affiliate for the Detroit Tigers. I'm sorry to report that the Mud Hens lost to the Buffalo Bisons, but we still had a good time at the game. Nice ballpark, easy to get to, plenty of nearby parking, and more affordable than the major league ballparks. I admit the quality of play is not the same as in the major leagues, but there is more action, you are closer to the players and it is fun to watch to see who will make it to the majors. Two players that caught my eye because of where they are from were Duane Below a pitcher (Britton, Michigan) and Kevin Russo 2nd base (West Babylon, New York). I will definitely be going back.
