I just finished reading an article on Business Insider titled, "25 Reasons Why Detroit is on the Verge of an Epic Comeback." I love that - EPIC!!!!!! Read the entire article by Rob Wile here: http://www.businessinsider.com/things-going-right-for-detroit-2013-6?op=1
I was aware of some of what was in the article, but I did find a few surprises. Here is what surprised me:
1) Chinese automakers and suppliers opening offices in the Detroit area.
2) In addition to the Big 3, the area is home to a dozen Fortune 500 companies.
3) According to Brand Innovators' 25 start ups to watch in 2013 the Detroit metro area has 5 of the 25.
4) Sporting News readers recently named Detroit the greatest sports city of ALL time. (well it didn't totally surprise me, as I knew Detroit is a GREAT sports city.)
During the next week The Gadfly Investigations Newspaper will have more on this EPIC comeback.
