I came upon fast cars...no not race cars but tiny replicas!
Here's my Video of some time spent with the MotorCity RC Club! I met the MOTORCITY RC CLUB in Belleville, Michigan at an industrial site- perfect to race their amped up Remote-Control (RC) cars. And when I say amped, I mean it. They are electronic hobbyist too and are continually modifying the cars.

They have several more members but only a few attended this outing. Several times I found myself involved in conversations about electronics I didn't understand. From buying equipment to modifying aspects of the cars, these guys are really into it! Since the 1960's, remote-controlled cars are been gaining in popularity. Click here for a short history! With the introduction of varible spped cars in the 1970's, the fun was every better! More then just starting and stopping, you could actually drive it around!

Another Zombie Race occurred for the second time in Holland, Ohio. What is the Zombie Race you ask...
Z.E.R.T. Soldiers turn the tide in their favor!
A 5k or 15 Race through a secluded woods in Northern Ohio were the Undead- namely Zombies attempted to 'Kill' you
You can run as a Zombie too...interesting thought for next year for me!
Each 'Survivor' (runner) is given a belt with 3 stripes of plastic- The Zombies attempt to pull the stripes off of you until you are dead, i.e no stripes left. You can still finish the Race though.
Great fun for the whole Family!
So I planned on bringing a camera into the event when I ran. I am still at the 5k level (and glad I didn't do the 15k!) I was really tired by the end of the run.I actually had 2 'Life' Stripes at the end!
I befriended a great group of Zombie enthusiasts, Z.E.R.T. or Zombie Eradication Response Team. A worldwide group of well-trained preparedness-buffs, they mix the Zombie genre with real-life need to know training they can provide. We talked about he real floods recently and water shortages. Z.E.R.T. is trained in how to get ready for the said events.

This squad of Z.E.R.T. soldiers had a decked-out car with all the cool decals including Umbrella Corporation made famous from the 'Resident Evil' games and Movies. They did all the Decals themselves and are quite talented.
Runners can camp for the Weekend on the grounds!
They mentioned they chose the Zombie Race over some actual Range Training...a hard decision for sure!
