MOTHER EARTH IS FORGIVING..But Don't Mess With DETROIT'S STRONG WOMEN..Karen Fraiberg, MA, SAP

     Sitting down with  accomplished business Owner Karen Fraiberg, one vibe you get from her is "ENERGY". She is constantly moving about her Office while I interview her. She has a kind disposition and a bubbly personality.

     SO YOU HAVE SEVERAL BUSINESSES WHAT ARE THEY? Karen is President and Co-Owner of PROTEKTED RECORDS, a Record Label that has all types of Music under it's wings but has a special heart for Hip Hop and Rap. Her Partner is Jon Gornbein, Legendary Percussionist for KID ROCK from 1996-1998. I met Jon a few times at Karen's Office and he is really a nice guy. Really down to earth. One of their Big Artists is FRENCHIE. PROTEKTED RECORDS specializes in getting their acts a "National Spotlight". They can get you on shows like MTV and BET.

    Karen is also a Licensed Therapist. She is accomplished and has a busy practice in Southfield, Michigan. She has a self-described "Laid-Back Style of Counseling". She is very personable and caring with her Clients. Karen's practice is mostly Drug & Alcohol-related based but she is highly competent in all areas of Psychology. She also runs a volunteer Substance Abuse Group in Berkley, Michigan once a week just to help people at no fee. She has 2 special, hard to get certifications:

(1) SAP= Substance Abuse Professional
(2) OBIS= Brain Injury Specialist

     Karen is also a licensed Pilot. She doesn't own a plane but has access to a smaller, non-jet aircraft. She enjoys flying. 

    Karen also co-owns a Club called "Smash Hit Kickboxing Club".  She had a cast on her arm during the interview from her training.

Karen is thinking about several community base projects she may be doing in Detroit involving Therapy and Kickboxing. She really cares about the Detroit-Area. She offers intense training for both sport and weight loss.
