When Detroit Lays Down to Sleep- IT DREAMS OF CARS SO COMPLETE! The Woodward Dream Cruise 2013

I saw a Public TV Broadcast, MIWEEK.ORG, right before I left to ride down to The Amazing (as always) WOODWARD DREAM CRUISE , and the Host and the Commentators were saying in a nutshell the event could be even  better if it had more government involvement. Wow. If they are implying it could be more successful then it already is, I have no idea from what 'Ivory Tower' they broadcast from.

The first couple I talked to, parked along Woodward near the outskirts of the end of the "strip" has been coming to the Woodward Dream Cruise for 4 years. HOW DO YOU LIKE THE DREAM CRUISE? They thought it was great but mentioned that international car thieves come to this event now. He had a friend who had a car stolen from one of the Dream Cruises. Awful luck. Michael Strong writing about The National Crime Insurance Bureau (NCIB) reports (according to Michael Strong) Midland, Michigan is one of the lowest theft rates along with Hawaii.  Michigan wasn't even mentioned in the Report.Within the few hours I interviewed alot of people. They all loved the event and had no problems. Another couple mentioned the same issue of some car theft ring. THE GADFLY hasn't heard about this. We will see if this can be verified. We haven't heard of any other problems other than less than minor stuff/infractions. Oh There was a Flasher reported a few days ago on FOX 2 who was arrested during the weekend around Woodward. Go figure. Our Couple has talked to people from Windsor, Ontario (Canada) and from several nearby States. Several other people mentioned talking to people from outside of Michigan during he weekend. Truly an international event now.
