WHAT? TRUCKS THAT SERVE FOOD? ROYAL OAK #FOODTRUCKRALLY (7-8-15)

The market had these special trucks lined up along the sides with 2 outside near 2 of the exits...yes, the classic food truck seems to be on the rise again! With over 8 trucks and a good crowd, this rally apparently goes on every month here. I talked to a Reporter for a well-known Magazine and he mentioned every 4 months or so this event is held. Our Reporter noted one of the FOOD TRUCKS just sold 800 pizzas at a recent event and they are busy as heck. The industry is doing well in DETROIT!

2. A FAMILY FRIENDLY ATMOSPHERE...Royal Oak is a great mix of entertainment, beautiful scenery and great events!
3. A NEW URBAN CULTURE of people moving back to 'the city' and a urban-hip vibe to eating on the fly with the good foods of said trucks!

THE TRUCKS!...
The food truck, according to Wiki, came back into 'existence' around 2010 with RALLIES happening mostly in the LA area. It seems it's an Urban Creature and caters to us city-dwellers!

THE FOOD!

I had a great PITA meal from the PITA POST. It ran about $7.50. As tables were scarce- one had to share picnic tables with strangers. Great way to make new friends I say!

I mean there were just too many choices! I'm looking forward to the next RALLY. I think I should have got ribs or something like that! FOR SURE AT THE PIG & WHISKY coming to FERNDALE, MICHIGAN  July 17th -19th! Yum!
