Clash of Ages Renaissance Faire was Grandly Medieval!

All things must begin- like the Phoenix rising- a new Renaissance Festival is in South-East Michigan now...the CLASH OF AGES RENAISSANCE FAIRE! 100% inside unlike its cousin the Michigan Renaissance Festival in Holly, this faire is a fledging with great potential to give Cosplayer and their ilk a dose of Medieval sanity during the long Winter  before the other Michigan Festivals.

Located at the Birch Run Expo Center, this event was a real good time. Not as crowded as I assumed as it is a newer event in the Medieval Festival World, it had really solid vendors and activities.

                       Queen's March was quite fabulous!

 The Expo center staff was very helpful in several questions I had and the food was good (they even had the TURKEY LEGS!- the must of any Ren Fest!)

THE VENDORS:

The BLACK DRAGON MEADERY was my favorite sponsor/vendor as their Mead is really great! We had a mugful the whole at Saturday while walking around the Festival! We recommend you check them out! Smaller vendors from Candle-Makers, Clothing-Makers, Crafts and Leather-workers were also present.

A cool business had hand-made Toy Guns that shoot rubber bands-RUBBERBAND TECH! Their hand-crafted pistols are beautfully made and looks like a fun toy. We forgot to go back and purchase a kit. They are easy to put together and reasonably priced.

We really enjoyed talking to a great Candle-Making & Etching Company called SOY COMFORT CANDLES. The candles are made to burn evenly. They smell great and have great healing powers. These are very kind people and we really enjoyed talking to them. Check these guys out too!

Alot of really talented creators, especially in jewelry. Definitely a place to stock up on your cos-player needs! 

THE ENTERTAINMENT:

The Roving Patrons in their garb- Pirates to Steam Punks- were amazing! More people were in Costumes then not which is unusual in Ren Fests!

The Guests and just whole atmosphere of this fair was positive. It wasn't one of the busy fairs but seemed to be well-organized and thought-through. Looks like folks have a winter Renaissance Festival to get them through til The Michigan Renaissance Festival!
