Zoo Boo at The Detroit Zoo
The Detroit Zoo is all decked out with Halloween decorations and The Gadfly Investigations Newspaper  headed on over to get some pictures.  If you have children they will enjoy the decorations, but you should also think about taking them to Zoo Boo tonight or tomorrow.  Today I am going to concentrate on Zoo Boo a safe, fun event for families to enjoy.
There will be GHOULY GAMES to play:

#Gadflyin in the Motor City at Motor City Casino for Slots and More

Motor City Casino
Fun day at Motor City Casino playing the slot machines.  Personally, I broke even.  It had been a while since I was in a gambling establishment and had to reorient myself with all the new machines.  I can not believe how many video slots they have now, but I still like the mechanical machines with the reels that spin.  I also miss putting in coins and hearing them drop in the coin tray when you win.   For all you who are interested in the odds, here is a link to an interesting story about 'Paybacks'.  http://articles.sun-sentinel.com/2013-01-30/business/fl-slot-payouts-013013-20130130_1_slot-machine-loose-slot-frank-scoblete
Meanwhile back at Motor City Casino:  the employees are all helpful, friendly and nice.  Had lunch at the Grand River Deli and ordered half a sandwich and soup.  Wow - that was a lot of food.  The half a sandwich was huge and stuffed with tons of meat and the soup was a meal by itself.  Enjoyed walking around the lobby of the Sound Board and looking at the pictures and guitars from past performers.  They also had a signed tambourine from Stevie Nicks and a signed banjo from Steve Martin.  Here for your viewing pleasure is a fun video of The Village People at the Sound Board Motor City Casino singing Macho Man.  You know this will make you smile. :)

Did Somebody Say FREE Pizza?

Blaze Pizza Royal Oak
Was reading the Royal Oak Patch today and saw that the new pizzeria in Royal Oak- Blaze Pizza, was offering FREE pizza from 5 PM til 11 PM.  Needless to say I headed on over to get me some FREE pizza.  Of course there was a line, but all things considered it moved quickly.  All in all I was in and out in a little less than an hour.  They advertise that the pizza is cooked in 120 seconds and I believe it.  They have a big oven and you can watch them bake it.   Blaze offers signature pizzas or you can build your own.  The set up reminds me of Subway, you select your sauce, cheese, meat and veggies.  I decided to build my own and went with the red sauce, mozzarella, NO meat and LOTS of veggies. See my creation below.  Of course it is NOT NY style pizza, but I did enjoy it and would have it again.  However; next time I would opt for more cheese.    Thank you Blaze Pizza for the FREE pizza, I enjoyed it.

Woodward Dream Cruise 2013 Police Bike Patrol
Had a great #Gadflyin time at the Woodward Dream Cruise 2013.  Yes, I know that was in August, but it is fun looking back at the pictures and recalling all the great cars I saw.  I always enjoy seeing the Police vehicles, The first Police car I drove was a 1988 Dodge Diplomat. Also enjoyed seeing the two wheel Police vehicles, AKA Bike Patrol.

This is Motor City and Gadfly Wants to Know What is Your Dream Car?

Lil Red Express - old style Woodward Dream Cruise

Lil Red at Woodward Dream Cruise

Everyone has a dream car, the car that they would get if they could choose any car they wanted and cost wasn't a factor.  I like cars, but I have always liked pickup trucks.  I think it goes back to my Uncle Sal, he was a pickup truck guy and he would always take me for rides in his various trucks he had over the years and I loved it.  So, whether I'm at the Dream Cruise or Arts, Beats and Eats you'll find me looking at and taking pictures of the pickup trucks.  If I could have my choice of any one I wanted I'm not sure whether I would choose a classic or one of the new Quad cabs.  Here are some pictures of ones I took over the summer.

Reflections on Arts, Beats and Eats 2013 - Wolcott Mill Metropark Petting Zoo

Wolcott Mill Metropark at Arts, Beats and Eats

More reflections on Arts, Beats and Eats 2013.  I am again in the Kid Zone at Arts, Beats and Eats because I am a kid at heart.   I was not disappointed as the Wolcott Mill Metropark had a petting zoo there and  I LOVE animals.  What a cool collection of wonderful farm animals they had there and I got to pet them.  I think I will be making a trip to the Wolcott Mill Metropark in the near future and report about it in The Gadfly Investigations Newspaper.   You can see more pictures on our Pinterest page http://www.pinterest.com/pisamindad
