Star Wars Group is a course to fan fun

Little did I know a fun Star Wars Pub Crawl was going to become a place to meet new friends, learn how to theatrically light-saber fight and just have a great time with a Movie Universe (my definition is a whole slew of related movies, tv, books and such from a movie or series of movies; they create a whole "world" including products, spin-offs, etc.)

THE FACEBOOK CLUB

We met 2 people who were dressed up as Jedi (and we as Sith) a few months ago at CRAWL WARS, a Royal Oak Star Wars- themed Pub Crawl (Costumed Folk go to several Bars over the course of a few hours and enjoy themselves). We joined the group (THE MICHIGAN JEDI/SITH ORDER) and it is great! Within the group the people who run it created a theatrical light-saber fighting club and were looking for new members. The Club is at "The Temple", one of the Founders of the groups home. We are learning how to light-saber fight theatrically....the walking, parries and attacks that mimic Rapier sword-fighting. Looking onward to alot of fun!

CHARITY WORK

The Groups tries hard to do good for the Community. We recently went to Moonbeams for Sweet Dreams, a Beaumont Hospital event for the Month of December were the Community shines lights below to the Kids Pediatric Ward to show they care (and the Kids shine lights back). A great event to help kids! More Events like reading to kids at school and Comic-Cons are coming up.

SITH APPRENTICES

We recently got asked to be Apprentices for Sith Lords of the Group! We have a "Master" that will teach us his training and we will also work our way up in the group to perhaps be on the Ruling Council of it!

THANKS FOR READING! MORE ON THIS GREAT GROUP SOON!

Michigan Firehouse Museum Ghost Hunt: Success!

On a cold night in early December, a Building connected to an Old Firehouse was found to be haunted! The Hunt was lead by 3 experts in the Ghost-Hunting field: Stephanie Burke (Medium), Scott Porter (Ghost-Hunter) & John E.L. Tenney (Researcher). In addition to this hunt, our Team (Gadfly Ghost-Hunting) & the Experts were here for Paracon 2018, a Ghost & Occult Convention held until the Ghost-Hunt at Midnight. Let the fun begin!

PARACON 2018

We arrived at the Station after trying to find parking. I sure wish the Organizers would have told the Attendees this. We also walked into presentations already in progress. They did not let people know that either. We were disappointed by Expert Tenney who promised to look at our photos and did not. Only a few bad points as most of the rest of this adventure was grand! In the Basement were booths of Vendors with mugs, art, unique Gothic items and more could be found. I picked up several items!

We watch some of Mr. Porter's presentation as he spoke loud (there was no speaker system) and some of Ms. Burke's (but it was hard to hear). I loved Mr. Porter's point of "Old School" Investigation. Using your senses and non-technology. So much is lost in all of the apps and more these days.

The Investigation Teams at midnight til 3am were divided into groups: one lead by Mr. Tenney and another lead by Ms. Burke and Mr. Porter. About halfway through the Hunt the Groups changed these Lead Investigators.

THE INVESTIGATION- The Basement (Team Porter/Burke)

Burke & Porter lead the investigation in the main part of the Basement. They used a Spirit Box with some success- they named 2 Firemen  (Eric & Joe). With the help of a retired fire Chief who came along to ask "Fireman-related questions",  the Lead Investigators drew information out of the Spirits. One part of this endeavor Burke was blindfolded and listened only to the Spirit Box while blindfolded and unaware (and not able to hear) beyond the earphones. Questions posed by Porter were answered by Burke showing the truthfulness of the Spirits present! It was awesome!

THE INVESTIGATION- The Second Level/Tower

Our Group switched leaders (we got Mr. Tenney). We all sat in a large conference room were we tried to talk to spirits. We recorded the time but we didn't catch anything. There were just too many people i think in the room. When we broke up to go down stairs we were given an opportunity to go up an old stairwell to a Tower Room door (we were not allowed in the Tower due to structural issues). Nothing was found on the stairwell up (I had to go alone up the stairs as it was narrow and only 2 people at a time were allowed up).

THE INVESTIGATION- The back-part of the Basement

We broke off from the merging of the Investigation Groups in the main-part of the Museum to go down to the other side of the Basement. We felt a few cold spots. At an old dead-end room I didn't pick up any EVP or change in temperature but the photos later showed an Orb in the area!

THE INVESTIGATION- Old Firehouse Garage

The actual Carriage-area of the old Firehouse was available to search in! I didn't find anything on the video or photos here. We happen to get here before the crowds of the other Ghost-Hunters came. Alot of cool stuff in here like old Horse-Drawn Fire Vehicles!

CONCLUSION

We had a good time plus found proof of a haunting here! Other then Expert Tenney not biding by his promise to look at our Orb Photos, we were pleased! This might be our last "large Group" Ghost Hunt as too many people and such really ruins some of the experience and Investigation.
