The Village of Kleeves, the name of the Village where the Mid-Michigan Enchanted Forest exists is the genesis of a Medieval Event that rivials all other similar Festivals. As the Myth of Kleeves, a German Folklore Story says Mythical Creatures and such emanate from it.

THE VILLAGE OF KLEEVES CREATURES
I saw the Royal Court (I think) roaming around along along with creatures ranging from Knights to Satyrs. Even a small dragon and a whole heck of alot of pixies and nymphs.

I saw two roving groups of Minstrels along with Artists playing at the "Main Stage" (what I consider it by the entrance to the Viking Village and Food Area). Some great acts with a Harpist in one of them were seen. The talent of these folks is amazing! There were also Fire-Handlers at one of the Stages!
THE VENUE
A large wooded area that was alot cooler in temperature and definitely less crowded. The Jail, Food, Viking Village, Vendors and Stages were nicely apart. A lot more comfortable then being at the Big Fair in Holly, Michigan.
THE BELLY-DANCERS/COMPETITIONS
Several Groups of Professional Belly-Dancers performed for spots (I think there were 1st, 2nd, 3rd, Best New Dancer and a few other Awards). They were all great and provided nice Entertainment for the this Ren Fest.

I really enjoyed the this smaller, more spaced-out and laid-back Renaissance Festival. It was I think $14.00 to get in- alot more inexpensive than Holly. I was less stressed and at least when I was there it wasn't crowded (the area where the Belly-Dancers performed was full during performances though). Nice People, Vendors and such. Just a great day there!
